A degree to suit you.
At UWE Bristol, we treat each and every one of our students as an individual, and that’s why we offer you a variety of ways to access a degree. So, if you don't yet meet our entry requirements, there are lots of ways to gain the additional skills you need – whether that’s English language tuition, or to increase your subject knowledge.
You don’t even have to study your degree in the UK. We have many options available through our global study partners, where you can study your degree fully or partly in another country.
Preparing for your arrival.
It’s a big change coming to live and study in a different country. We want you to feel settled from the moment you arrive, and there are lots of things we do to help make that possible.
Watch US student, Zenavieve tell us about her experience of joining UWE Bristol including her arrival and getting settled in to university life.
Supporting you to be the best you can be.
Going overseas to study is an exciting time, but it can be a little overwhelming too. A new country, new city, new people. It’s a lot to get used to, which is why we place so much emphasis on supporting you, both academically and personally. We know that when you feel supported, you’re in the best position to achieve your goals.
What if there were no limits to your potential?
During his time at UWE Bristol, graduate Abdul-Azeez learnt that with the right support and a positive mindset, you can achieve your dreams.
Studying Aerospace Engineering in the UK had always been his dream and when he found UWE Bristol, he was impressed with its connections to the aerospace industry – and the support he would get as a visually impaired student that would help him thrive and achieve his potential.
My biggest passion is being able to live a full and functional life with my disability, to get involved with any sporting activity, and whichever profession I want. UWE Bristol really fed into that; they made adjustments throughout my entire experience, so all opportunities were available to me.”
For his final year project, he chose to build an aircraft and was awarded ‘Best Individual Project’ by the University. This experience taught him that you don’t know how much you can achieve you have until you try something new.
It also inspired him to take on a challenge that he had long dreamed about. Faced with the global pandemic in 2020 and a period of lockdown, he decided to build a car from scratch. To achieve this, he had to put everything he had learnt at UWE Bristol into practice – with great results.
UWE Bristol prepared me for my career, giving me analytical, project management and problem-solving skills as well as the practical skills that formed the building blocks of my studies. Putting the theory into practice taught me how to apply my knowledge of aerospace engineering principles to other avenues, opening a multitude of industry doors for me to consider.”
